Wir freuen uns, unseren neuen Abteilungsleiter Christopher Schwarz vorzustellen. Christopher ist ein waschechter Pirmasenser und seit vielen Jahren ein fester Bestandteil der Praetorians-Familie. Mit viel Engagement und Herzblut tritt er nun in die Fußstapfen seines Vorgängers und übernimmt die Führung des Teams in einer besonders herausfordernden Phase.
Nach dem glücklichen Klassenerhalt in der sportlich enttäuschenden Saison 2025 und eines personellen Umbruchs auf sämtlichen administrativen und sportlichen Ebenen, hat Christopher mutig einen Neuanfang eingeleitet. Sein Ziel ist es, mithilfe eines ausgeprägten Teamgeists und einem familiären Umfeld die Praetorians wieder zu alter Stärke zurückzuführen.
Eine große Aufgabe, der sich der 38-jährige frischgebackene Abteilungsleiter und Aufsichtsratsmitglied des FK Pirmasens angenommen hat. Im Berufsleben ist Christopher Versicherungskaufmann und engagiert sich ehrenamtlich für den American Football in unserer Stadt. Viele kennen ihn nicht nur als leidenschaftlichen Unterstützer, sondern auch als die markante Stimme, die in den vergangenen Jahren die Heimspiele der Praetorians am Mikrofon kommentiert hat.
Doch Christopher, den die meisten unter dem Namen „Blacky“ kennen, ist auch ein ehemaliger Football-Spieler. Seine sportliche Laufbahn begann 2013 bei den Kaiserslautern Pikes, bevor er ab der ersten Saison 2015 Teil der Pirmasens Praetorians wurde. Als Guard in der O-Line sowie als Fullback und Runningback war er bis 2018 aktiv, bis ihn eine Verletzung zur Beendigung seiner aktiven Karriere zwang.
Seit 2024 leitet Christopher mit großem Engagement die Jugendabteilung der Praetorians, die „Junior Legions“. Hier investierte er viel Zeit in den Aufbau und die Weiterentwicklung der Nachwuchsmannschaften und ist aktuell auch Head Coach der U13 Flag- und U16 Flag & Tackle-Teams. Der Start einer U19-Mannschaft ist derzeit noch nicht möglich, da es 2025 keine Winter-Liga gibt.
Christopher verspricht, eine transparente und offene Kommunikation innerhalb der Abteilung anzustreben. Ebenso fungiert er als Bindeglied zu den restlichen Sparten des FK 03 Pirmasens e.V. Er möchte vor allem dazu beitragen, dass Fußball und American Football in unserem Verein und in unserer Stadt wieder näher zusammenrücken.
Die Fans dürfen gespannt sein: Christopher arbeitet bereits an der Umsetzung vieler neuer Ideen, um die Heimspieltage für unsere Zuschauer noch spannender und attraktiver zu gestalten.

Unterstützt von vielen neuen Mitstreitern ist er fest entschlossen, eine starke Mannschaft für die Saison 2026 auf die Beine zu stellen und den Verein in eine erfolgreiche Zukunft zu führen.
Introduction: Christopher ‚Blacky‘ Schwarz – The New Head of the American Football Department
We are pleased to introduce our new department head, Christopher Schwarz. Christopher is a true native of Pirmasens and has been a dedicated member of the Praetorians family for many years. With great commitment and passion, he is now stepping into the shoes of his predecessor and taking over the leadership of the team during a particularly challenging period.
After narrowly avoiding relegation in the disappointing 2025 season and undergoing a personnel overhaul at all administrative and sporting levels, Christopher has courageously initiated a fresh start. His goal is to restore the Praetorians to their former strength through strong team spirit and a family-like environment.
It’s a major task that the 38-year-old newly appointed department head and supervisory board member of FK Pirmasens has taken on. In his professional life, Christopher works as an insurance salesman and volunteers for American Football in our city. Many know him not only as a passionate supporter, but also as the distinctive voice that has commentated Praetorians home games on the microphone in recent years.
But Christopher, known to most as „Blacky“, is also a former football player. His sporting career began in 2013 with the Kaiserslautern Pikes, before becoming part of the Pirmasens Praetorians from their very first season in 2015. He played as a guard in the offensive line, as well as a fullback and running back, until 2018, when an injury forced him to end his active playing career.
Since 2024, Christopher has been leading the Praetorians’ youth department, the “Junior Legions”, with great dedication. Here, he has invested much time in building and developing the youth teams and is currently also the head coach of the U13 flag and U16 flag & tackle teams. Starting a U19 team is not possible at this time, as there will be no winter league in 2025.
Christopher promises to pursue transparent and open communication within the department. He also serves as a link to the other divisions of FK 03 Pirmasens e.V. Above all, he wants to help bring football (soccer) and American football closer together again within our club and in our city.
Fans can look forward to exciting times: Christopher is already working on implementing many new ideas to make our home game days even more exciting and attractive for our spectators.
